| The equipment works by monitoring tiny natural energetic reactions within
humans. It is based on principles discovered in the 1950's by Dr
Reinhold Voll in Germany. He found that acupuncture points (traditionally
used by oriental acupuncturists for treatments, see below) could be used to
monitor a persons energetic state of health. He went on to find that
they could also be used to determine which substances they were sensitive to,
depleted in or even toxic with. He also found that they could be
used to determine which remedies would actually benefit them! Dr Voll found that the electrical characteristics of
an acupuncture point varied as a substance someone was sensitive to, depleted in or
would benefit from was placed near them. This is a phenomena of biofeedback and was named Electro Dermal Screening (EDS) or Electro Acupuncture
according to Voll (EAV).
Basically this gives us a way of asking the body questions such as "do you have
a sensitivity to bananas" by placing a banana near the
person and measuring the reaction of an acupuncture point. In this
way we can determine nutrition deficiencies, food sensitivities, hormone
imbalances, toxin build-up etc.
The clever bit about the BEST System is that it electronically stores
40,000 different signature signals, each equivalent to a separate substances.
Any one of these can be 'played back' and the subsequent change
monitored in the person under test. This response is graphically displayed on the
computer and the practitioner can readily determine the individual's reaction to that substance.
The results are stored and can be printed out. This makes for a very
quick and simple testing procedure.
The results can be further analysed by the computer and with full
body screening used to rapidly determine the remedies required to rebalance
the body systems of the person being screened.
It is important to note that the BEST System does not perform any kind of chemical
analysis or diagnosis. It monitors a natural energetic response of acupuncture
points to test signals. The tests are non-invasive and the results are produced immediate.
Acupuncture Points
These are tiny points located at the skin’s surface and are traditionally used by acupuncturists to perform treatments by inserting
needles into then. These points, of which there are hundreds all over the body, have precise locations and are known to help with particular ailments. Acupuncture points lie along energy channels called meridians. There are twelve main meridians, each associated with an organ such as the liver, spleen, bladder, kidney etc.
